Honey Cakes Recipe

This is one from the archives: a recipe that the students made for Rosh Hashanah two years ago… Enjoy these sweet muffin-sized treats today!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup tea (room temperature)
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350C.
  • Combine all ingredients until well mixed.
  • Grease or line 18 muffin cups.
  • Fill each muffin cup 2/3 full.
  • Bake in oven approximately 20 minutes or until golden on top and toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool and enjoy!
